Live-in care
Whether you need a few hours a week or a more comprehensive solution such as our live in care services, we can plan and deliver a safe and fully personalised care package. All our managed care plans include a full management support and a dedicated team for your care. We will assess and review your care needs regularly and make sure it is always up to date and accurate.

What is live-in care?
Live in care enables you to receive round the clock care in your own home. We match an experienced care worker based on your shared interests and needs.
We think it’s important that you are able to feel safe, comfortable and cared for in your own environment.
There will be a care worker on hand 24 hours a day so you and your loved ones don’t have to worry.

Do you charge for an assessment?
No, our assessment is free of charge
Can care workers manage incontinence and catheters?
Yes, our care workers are trained in supporting and managing clients with incontinence problems or those who have catheters.
Will the care workers get up during the night?
Our care workers can get up to attend to your needs up to a maximum of two times during the night.
What does 24hr care mean?
24 hour care means that you will have a care worker on hand at all times if you need them.
Can care workers help with exercises?
Yes, our care workers can help with any prescribed exercises from your physiotherapist.
Will the care worker have a monitor in their room at night?
Based on your needs we can arrange for our care workers to have a TV monitor in their room at night.
Do the care workers need a day off at the weekend?
We ask that our care workers have 14 hours worth of breaks per week. This can be divided over the 7 days.
If I have a care worker do I need a cleaner?
Our care workers can do light housework such as laundry and hoovering.
Where two care workers are present can they share a bedroom?
No, we ask that our care workers have their own room with a single bed and somewhere to store their clothes.
Do care workers need to have a television in their room and internet access in the house?
We don’t require you to provide a TV in the care workers bedroom. Although, we ask that the care worker is provided with a private bedroom, single bed, chest of drawers and internet access so that they are able to access our app.
What conditions do you care for?
We have a range of experienced live-in care workers who are able to care for you or your loved ones. Our care workers specialise in caring for those with:

At Care with choices we realise that everybody is different and has varying needs. That is why we train our care workers to cope with the many varied physical and mental conditions that exist.

Do you provide care for couples?
Yes we are able to provide care for couples and match a care worker based on both your shared interests and needs.
Can care workers administer medication?
Yes, our experienced care workers can administer prescribed medication.
How many care workers will I have?
We aim to provide our clients with the same 2 or 3 care workers who will work together in a rotation. For example, care worker A will do two weeks on and two weeks off. Care worker B will then work the opposite rotation and care worker C would cover any gaps such as; sickness or holidays.
How long do care workers stay for?
We can arrange the length of stay based on yours and your chosen care workers preferences. Some clients prefer shorter rotations such as; two week rotations and others prefer longer rotations such as six week rotations.
Can I change care workers if I don’t get on with him/her?
Yes, we understand that sometimes people aren’t compatible. Our team are happy to replace the care worker should the two parties be incompatible.
Will my care worker work alongside other agencies/staff?'
Yes, there may be cases where our care workers will work alongside other agencies/staff for example; if additional support is required when supporting the client with personal care or if two care workers are required to support the client with moving and handling.
