FAQs

Can I meet my live-in care worker in advance?

Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange a face to face meeting in advance but we can arrange for you to have a video call or a phone call with your potential live-in care worker.

Can my live-in care worker support me to appointments?

Yes, we can arrange for our care worker to support you to your appointments.

Will I have the same live-in care worker every time?

We understand how important continuity is to our clients. We will usually provide you with three care workers. Care worker A and B will be your main carers, for example, carer A will work week 1 and 2 and carer B will work week 3 and 4. Care worker C  will then cover any holidays or sickness.

Can I request a live-in care worker that drives?

Yes, we have both drivers and non-drivers. You are able to request a care worker that drives when we carry out our initial assessment. We will then work on matching you with care workers that drive as well as those who you have shared interest with.

Can I choose whether I wish to have a female or male care worker?

Yes, you are welcome to choose whether you would prefer a female or male care worker. We will discuss all of this with you at the point of your assessment.

What about if me and my live-in care worker don’t get along?

We understand that sometimes personalities can clash. If you do find that you are not compatible with your care worker then please contact our office straight away.

What training do your live-in care workers have?

All of our care workers have achieved the care certificate which covers many different aspects of care, some of those being; moving and handling, medication, first aid, safe-guarding, equality and diversity.

What is the process of finding a live-in care worker and how long does it take?

Firstly, we will have a chat with you about your needs, interests and preferences. Once we have discussed your requirements our team will start work on profile matching you with a few of our live in care workers, we will then send the live in care worker profiles to you for you to have a read through and discuss with your loved ones.

This usually takes us around 7 days as we think it’s important that we offer you the best care workers. We can make the process quicker if you do wish to start care with us quickly.
